A Day of Tennis4018731_low

You don’t have to give up your tennis game while you’re here in Paris.  I’ve designed a full day where you can immerse yourself in tennis.  You’ll start the morning with a vigorous game — usually on clay court, the surface played at the French Open. (Exactly where you’ll play depends on the time of year.  For instance, the courts in the Luxembourg Gardens are beautiful in the late summer).

A quick shower and you’ll park your racquets in the trunk of our car while we visit the altar of tennis in France, the Stade Roland Garros, where the French Open is played.  You can’t get on the courts here, but you can see them, the players locker rooms and the media center, plus a museum based on the tennis memorabilia collected by René LaCoste for his grandchildren.

We’ll stop for a three-course lunch at the Norman cottage on the grounds of Roland Garros, on the terrace if the weather is nice.  Then I’ll take you shopping at two of the most famous tennis stores in the city.

I’m an avid tennis player myself, so if you need a partner, I’d be happy to hit balls with you.

Fees:  per person, minimum two people € 390 (Monday – Friday only)
